Belgaum: The Marathi Department of Rani Channamma University will organise an alumni meet on Friday (May 15) at 10.30 am. The programme will be held at the Marathi Department in the Ghotage Building of Rani Parvatidevi College (RPD).
Preparations for the event have been completed by former students. Former Head of the Department and noted litterateur Dr. Vinod Gaikwad will preside over the programme. Head of the Department Dr. Manisha Nesarkar, Dr. Chandrakant Waghmare, Dr. Sanjay Kamble and Dr. Majjoddin Mutawalli will be present as chief guests.
During the meet, the formation of the Marathi Association and Alumni Association will be announced. Discussions will also be held on various initiatives for the development and progress of the Marathi Department. Preparations for the programme have been underway for the past fifteen days, and efforts have been made to bring together students from all batches.
The Marathi Department has appealed to all former students to attend the programme in large numbers and extend their support.
