Belgaum: As part of the civic training camp organized by Sagar B.Ed. College at Benkanhalli, a special lecture on “Service and Values” was conducted by Bharat Vikas Parishad. A tree plantation drive was also carried out by the dignitaries to spread awareness about environmental conservation.
Dr. J. G. Naik, Prof. Aruna Naik, and National Women Executive Member of Bharat Vikas Parishad Swati Ghodekar guided the trainees during the session. Sagar B.Ed. Principal R. V. Halab, Bharat Vikas Parishad President Vinayak More, Provincial Organization Secretary Vinayak Ghodekar, D. Y. Patil, and Dr. Naveenkumar were present on the dais.

The programme began with a prayer and welcome song presented by the trainees. Principal R. V. Halab welcomed the guests with saplings and bouquets.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. J. G. Naik said that service activities should always be carried out with dedication, honesty, pride, and a positive attitude. He emphasized the importance of contributing towards nation-building.
Prof. Aruna Naik highlighted the crucial role of teachers in shaping society and urged future educators to impart moral values along with education. She stressed maintaining ideal conduct, academic excellence, and national unity through social awareness.
Swati Ghodekar encouraged trainees to work selflessly in the field of education and become role models for students. She also guided them on social responsibility, nation-building, and women empowerment.
Principal R. V. Halab appreciated the work of Bharat Vikas Parishad. The programme received support from SBG Ayurvedic Medical College. Bhaghyashree Patil and Savita Vali compered the event, while Vinayak Ghodekar and D. Y. Patil coordinated the programme. Dr. M. B. Narasannavar proposed the vote of thanks. Council members, professors, and trainees attended the event in large numbers.
