Belgaum, June 5:
The Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre (MARATHA LIRC), Belgaum, has announced a DSC (Defence Security Corps) Recruitment Rally on June 15 and 16, 2026. The rally is being organized for enrollment of ex-servicemen from the Regular Army and Territorial Army (TA) for the posts of Soldier General Duty (GD) and Soldier Clerk (SD).
According to the official press release, only candidates who have previously served in the Maratha Light Infantry Regiment are eligible to participate. Eligible candidates have been instructed to report at MARATHA LIRC, Belgaum, at 8:00 AM on June 15, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must have served in the Maratha Light Infantry Regiment only.
- Character assessment at discharge should be “Exemplary” or “Very Good.”
- Candidates should not have more than two Red Ink Entries during their entire service period.
- No punishment under Army Act Sections 34, 35, 36, 37, and 41(2).
- No Red or Black Ink punishment in the last five years of service.
- No Red Ink Entry in the last three years of service.
- Candidates must have completed a minimum of five years of service.
- Re-enrollment period should be within two years of retirement for Soldier GD candidates.
- Re-enrollment period should be within five years of retirement for Soldier Clerk (SD) candidates.
- Medical category must be SHAPE-I.
- Discharge should be after completion of terms of engagement or on personal request.
- Educational qualification: Minimum Matriculation pass or ACE-III for non-matric candidates.
- Age limit:
- Soldier GD – Below 46 years
- Soldier Clerk (SD) – Below 48 years
Required Documents:
Candidates must carry the following documents during the recruitment process:
- Original Discharge Book
- All educational certificates
- Caste certificate
- Domicile / Nativity certificate
- Character certificate signed by Village Sarpanch and Police Patil
- Family photograph with names, relationship, and dates of birth of family members
- Army Group Insurance Certificate
- Two attested photocopy sets of all certificates
- 15 latest passport-size colour photographs
- Verification Certificate signed by the Superintendent of Police
- PPO
- Embodied / Disembodied Service Certificate (for TA personnel only)
- ATC Certificate (for TA personnel only)
Candidates have also been advised to bring Combat Dress and Boot DMS for the Combined Physical Test (CPT).
