“Plant Trees, Save Trees” Awareness Skating Rally Held in Belgaum

Belgaum, June 2: To spread awareness about environmental conservation, the Belgaum District Roller Skating Association organized a special “Plant Trees, Save Trees” Skating Rally. The rally was inaugurated by Belgaum City Corporation Councillor Nitin Jadhav.

The rally was conducted in the vicinity of the Goaves Swimming Pool, where young skaters spread the message of tree plantation and environmental protection while skating through the area. Participants appealed to citizens to plant more trees and contribute towards a greener future.

Addressing the gathering, Councillor Nitin Jadhav urged everyone to plant at least one tree and take responsibility for its care and maintenance. He highlighted the importance of trees in providing shade, flowers, fruits, and oxygen, and emphasized their vital role in maintaining ecological balance and supporting human life.

Among those present on the occasion were renowned artist Vasant Nirmale, skating coach Suryakant Hindalgekar, Vishal Vesne, Yogesh Kulkarni, Rishikesh Pasare, Soham Hindalgekar, Mrs. Mahat, Sameer Mahat, Karuna Waghela, Vijay Naik, Tulsi Hindalgekar, along with skaters and parents associated with the Belgaum District Roller Skating Association.

The skaters who participated in the rally included Pranika Motekar, Kuldeep Birje, Pranjal Patil, Satyam Patil, Janhavi Tendulkar, Ashish Angadikar, Shreyas Bajantri, Adarsh Naik, Rachit Nangare, Rajveer Kadam, Pritam Bagewadi, and Sarthak Chavan.

The unique skating rally received appreciation from local citizens for creatively promoting environmental awareness. The event successfully conveyed the message that protecting nature begins with planting and nurturing trees.
