Khanapur: Maratha Mandal’s Tararani Pre-University College, Khanapur, has launched its ‘Kranti Saptah’ (Revolution Week) with the aim of instilling patriotism, courage, sacrifice, and national pride among students through a series of inspiring sessions on India’s freedom fighters.
Under the guidance of Dr. Rajashree Nagaraju, Chairperson of Maratha Mandal, the college has been conducting several educational and cultural activities for the holistic development of students. As part of this initiative, faculty members will present the life stories and contributions of one revolutionary freedom fighter each day, highlighting their sacrifices for the nation.
The programme began on August 6, with Prof. R.V. Maritmanavar speaking on the life and bravery of Rani Lakshmibai. On August 7, Prof. Pundalik Karlekar delivered an inspiring lecture on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, emphasizing his leadership, patriotism, and relentless struggle for India’s freedom.
The week-long series will continue with lectures on Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Veer Savarkar, Chandrashekhar Azad, Rajguru, Tatya Tope, Shaheed Sukhdev, and Vasudev Balwant Phadke, presented by faculty members from various departments.
As part of the programme, the college has also installed a feedback box, encouraging students to share their thoughts after each session. The best feedback entries will be rewarded.
The initiative aims to go beyond textbook learning by inspiring students with the values of patriotism, discipline, sacrifice, and responsibility, while keeping alive the legacy of India’s great revolutionaries.
