Members of held an awareness interaction meeting with the at Yashoda Palm in Belgaum on Tuesday evening.
During the meeting, discussions were held regarding concerns over alleged illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltration through labour-oriented sectors such as catering, restaurants, construction, and other industries.
The interaction focused on the importance of verifying authentic identity documents before employment, ensuring responsible recruitment of outside labour, preventing illegal settlement in the city, and addressing safety and security concerns for society and businesses.
Representatives of the Sanghatana also shared details about the memorandum recently submitted to the Police Commissioner regarding the issue. Members of the Annapurna Caterers Association responded positively and appreciated the awareness initiative undertaken by the organisation.
Several businessmen and association members participated in the interaction meeting. The organisation stated that similar awareness programmes would continue in the future to promote vigilance and public awareness in society.
