The Belgaum District Roller Skating Championship 2026, organized by the Belgaum District Roller Skating Association, was conducted with great enthusiasm at the skating track of Shivganga Sports Club in Om Nagar. More than 150 top skaters from different parts of the district participated in the competition and showcased their speed, balance and skating skills.
The inauguration ceremony and prize distribution function were held in the presence of Shivganga Sports Club President Jyoti Chindak and social worker Ashok Gore. A large number of skaters, parents, coaches and sports enthusiasts attended the event. Winners in various categories were honoured with medals and certificates.
In the under-6 boys category, Mari won 3 gold medals while Kedar secured 3 silver medals. In the girls category, Adhya Upar won 2 gold and 1 bronze medal, Soumya secured 1 gold and 2 silver medals, while Anjali won 3 bronze medals.
In the 6 to 8 years boys category, Ishan Prabhakar bagged 3 gold medals. Piyush secured 1 silver and 2 bronze medals while Tanmay won 2 silver and 1 bronze medal. In the girls section, Pranita Motekar dominated with 3 gold medals. Reeva Naik won 2 silver and 1 bronze medal while Dhruti secured 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.
In the 8 to 10 years boys category, Diyan Porwal clinched 3 gold medals while Pritam Bagewadi secured 3 silver medals. In the girls category, Alija won 3 gold medals, Adya claimed 3 silver medals and Swarali secured 3 bronze medals.
Aryan Gavandi won 3 gold medals in the 10 to 12 years boys category. Rajveer Kadam secured 3 silver medals while Arshman won 2 silver medals. In the girls section, Durva Patil bagged 3 gold medals, Angela won 3 silver medals and Yukta secured 3 bronze medals.
In the 12 to 15 years boys category, Sarvesh Patil won 1 gold and 3 silver medals while Kuldeep Birje secured 2 gold and 1 silver medal. Sufiyan claimed 3 bronze medals. In the girls category, Pranjal Patil won 3 gold medals, Anya secured 1 silver and 2 bronze medals while Illora won 2 silver and 1 bronze medal.
In the 15 to 18 years boys category, Achakit won 3 gold medals while Vivek secured 3 silver medals and Prajwal claimed 3 bronze medals. Janhavi Tendulkar emerged victorious with 3 gold medals in the girls category.
The inline skating events also witnessed impressive performances. Manavit won 3 gold medals in the under-6 category. In the 6 to 8 years boys section, Edwin secured 2 gold and 1 silver medal while Anshraj won 1 gold and 2 silver medals. Aditi bagged 3 gold medals and Sabia secured 3 silver medals in the girls category.
In the 8 to 10 years boys inline category, Samang won 3 gold medals while Avinash Patil and Ayush secured silver and bronze medals respectively. In the 10 to 12 years girls category, Abirel won 3 gold medals, Amisha Vernekar secured 3 silver medals and Rahi Jitkar claimed 3 bronze medals.
Arshan Madiwale emerged as the standout performer in the 12 to 15 years inline boys category by winning an impressive 13 gold medals. Zoe won 3 gold medals while Abeka secured 3 silver medals in the girls category. In the 15 to 18 years category, Shalya Taralekar won 3 gold medals and Shreyash Vajantry secured 3 silver medals.
The organizers thanked Yogesh Kulkarni, Vitthal Gangane, Rushikesh Pasare, Vishal Vesane, Satish Shete, Vinayak Patil and Soham Hindalgekar for their valuable support in successfully conducting the championship.
