A tense situation was reported in Parvati Nagar area of Belgaum after three allegedly drunk men confronted a motorist and demanded money.
According to the complaint, the vehicle owner had stopped to ask a passerby for directions when the three men suddenly approached them, claiming that the vehicle had hit them and demanding money. However, when the occupants informed them that the vehicle was equipped with a dashcam and suggested going to the police station, the accused allegedly turned aggressive.
One of the men was reportedly seen carrying a pickaxe and allegedly attempted to attack the vehicle, as seen in videos recorded during the incident. The incident created panic in the area for some time.
The victims have appealed to the police to take strict action against the accused and ensure public safety in the locality.
