DSC Recruitment Rally Successfully Conducted at MARATHA LIRC, Belgaum

Belgaum, June 16: The MARATHA Light Infantry Regimental Centre (MARATHA LIRC), Belgaum, successfully conducted a Defence Security Corps (DSC) Recruitment Rally for ex-servicemen of the Regiment on June 15 and 16, 2026.

The recruitment rally provided a valuable opportunity for retired soldiers to continue serving the nation through re-enrolment into the Defence Security Corps. The selection process was carried out smoothly in accordance with the prescribed eligibility criteria and recruitment procedures.

Candidates selected during the rally will undergo four weeks of training and orientation at the DSC Centre in Kannur, Kerala. Upon successful completion of the training, they will be deployed to various static establishments of the Armed Forces across the country, serving a tenure of two years at each station.

Re-enrolment into the DSC offers numerous benefits to ex-servicemen, including enhanced financial security, opportunities for career advancement, eligibility for promotions and Modified Assured Career Progression (MACP) benefits, and the advantage of dual pension upon retirement from DSC service.

Personnel also continue to enjoy a range of service benefits such as medical facilities for themselves and their dependents, leave entitlements, travel concessions, housing and ration allowances, children’s education benefits, insurance coverage, and opportunities for further advancement, including selection for Permanent Commission (Special List).

The initiative reflects the Regiment’s continued commitment to the welfare of its veterans by providing meaningful avenues for continued service, professional growth, and financial stability even after retirement from active military duty. The successful conduct of the recruitment rally has enabled many former soldiers to once again contribute to the nation’s security and service.
