Nipani : A reflection meeting was held today to decide the future course of action in the decade-old injustice and attack case involving the family of freedom fighter Late Maruti Magdum. During the meeting, participants announced a comprehensive struggle to secure justice for the affected family.
The meeting began with floral tributes to the portrait of freedom fighter Late Maruti Magdum. Speaking on the occasion, Babasaheb Magdum reviewed the ten-year-long struggle and expressed gratitude towards all individuals and organizations that extended support during this period. He also expressed disappointment that justice has still not been delivered despite continuous efforts.
Principal Dr. Achyut Mane said, “Even after pursuing the matter at various levels for the past ten years, justice has not been achieved. Therefore, a press conference will soon be held in Belgaum to announce the direction of the next phase of the agitation.”
A resolution passed during the meeting stated that, “Even after ten years, justice has not been delivered to the family of freedom fighter Late Maruti Magdum. Both the government and the judicial system are responsible for this injustice. We hereby announce a comprehensive fight against this unjust system, and our stand will be officially declared through a press conference.”
The resolution was proposed by Prof. N. I. Khot and seconded by Jayaram Mirajkar.
Among those present at the meeting were Jayaram Mirajkar, Prof. N. I. Khot, Vitthal Waghmode, Sudhakar Mane, Sanjeevkumar Shitole, Ashok Khandekar, Anand Sankapal, Vishwanath Killedar, Sunil Mane, and members of the Magdum family.
