Belagavi: In a major relief for vehicle owners, the Karnataka government has announced a 50% discount on pending traffic fines registered under the police e-challan system before May 2026.
According to the government order, motorists can avail of the concession from June 21, 2026, to July 10, 2026. During this 20-day period, offenders need to pay only half of the outstanding fine amount, while the remaining 50% will be waived.
The initiative aims to encourage citizens to clear long-pending traffic violation cases and settle dues at reduced rates.

- Police Commissioner’s Office
- Karnataka One and Belagavi One service centres
- Traffic police officers equipped with e-challan machines
