Belgaum, June 6: A tree plantation drive was organised at the Senior Citizens Club, Vaccine Depot, on the occasion of World Environment Day, promoting environmental awareness and the importance of green initiatives. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from public representatives, civic officials, and local residents.
Corporator Anand Chavan and Ward No. 23 Corporator Jayant Jadhav attended the programme along with City Corporation Environment Engineer Praveen Kumar, Sanitary Inspector Laxman Mohite, Suresh Bhat, Dr. Aparna Kulkarni, Anil Chougule, Guru Bhandari, Sudhir Deshpande, Vasant Hebbalkar, Suresh Sulebhavi, Yashwant Pardeshi, Kishor Kalakundri, Vishnu Patil, R.R. Patil, and several officials and staff members of the City Corporation.
Speakers at the event highlighted the importance of tree plantation and environmental conservation, urging citizens not only to plant trees but also to ensure their proper care and maintenance. They stressed that such initiatives play a vital role in building a greener and cleaner Belgaum.
