Namdev Daivaki Sanstha To Submit Memorandum Over Caste Certificate Error

Belgaum: The Namdev Daivaki Sanstha has strongly condemned an alleged error in a caste certificate issued to a woman from the community and has appealed to all community members to unite in support of justice for the affected family.

According to information available, a woman from the community had applied for a caste certificate. However, the issued document reportedly mentioned her caste as “Muslim Shimpi,” leading to strong resentment among members of the community. The association stated that such administrative mistakes cause mental distress and unnecessary hardship to innocent citizens.

In protest against the issue, the Namdev Daivaki Sanstha has decided to submit a memorandum to the District Collector seeking corrective action and justice for the concerned woman.

The association has appealed to all community members, women’s groups, activists and residents of Belgaum city to gather in large numbers on Friday, May 15, at 12 noon at Shri Sant Shiromani Namdev Temple, Khade Bazaar, before proceeding to the District Collector’s office.

Association President Rohan Urankar and Secretary Shashikant Hawal urged the community to stand united and support the affected woman in her fight for justice.
